Standard Size (800 pixels): Great for anything digital. Not ideal for cropping of any kind.
Large Size (1,500 pixels): Great for anything digital, and for most print materials (except posters or larger). Easily cropped for anything digital.
Supersize (3,000+ pixels): Great for editing, cropping, and any print materials. Must be reduced in size before uploading to a website.
